<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a switch system which is very wide in a memory width. SOLUTION: A switch system 10 includes an output port part 14 which transmits a packet to a communication line 16 and has a certain width. The system includes a carrier part 20 where the packet moves. This carrier part 20 has a width larger than that of an output port part and that of an input port part. The carrier part 20 is connected to each input port part and each output part 14. The system includes a memory part 22 where the packet is stored. This memory part 22 is connected to the carrier part 20. The system includes a mechanism for supplying the packet to the memory part 22 through the carrier part 20 from the input port part 12. The supply part can transmit the packet whose entire width is equal to the width of the carrier part 20 or part of the packet to the memory part 22 in each transmission cycle.</p> |
