<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an enhanced RF transmission line for a satellite antenna and a beam forming network. SOLUTION: A strip transmission line component 10 includes a dielectric support 12 adhered to one side or both sides of a metallic foil 13 in a combination assembly connected to a center conductor strip 11. The center strip 11 is adhered between lightweight plastic form core layers 14, 15 with a resin adhesive at a high temperature and under high pressure, and thin skin layers 16, 17 are similarly adhered to upper and lower faces of the core layers 14, 15 respectively with an adhesive. The skin layers 16, 17 include a dielectric or metallic support 18 or 19 and an internal conductive metallic foil 20 or 21 adjacent to the form core layer 14 or 15. The conductive metallic foils 20, 21 form a ground plane on the combination assembly.</p> |
