PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image processing method that has high image quality enhancement effect through noise suppression and copes with high-speed processing. SOLUTION: Image data of a target pixel are compared sequentially with the image data of surrounding pixels in the order of nearer pixels, and an arithmetic result obtained on the basis of image data of a peripheral pixel, the difference of the image data of the target pixel which does not exceed a prescribed value, and used for image data after processing. Then the distance from an object pixel of compared pixels in a direction vertical to a raster direction A rather than a raster direction A of the comparison object is limited, image data whose arithmetic processing is finished are used for part of the image data of the peripheral pixels, the image data of the peripheral pixels are used sequentially at intervals, and number of the image data whose difference does not exceed the prescribed value is limited to a specific number. |
