PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To continuously measure and monitor the fill level of various types of containers such as a conduit by obtaining the difference between the propagation time of an a0-mode-Lamb wave and that over the same section under the empty state of the container, and by leading a moment fill level in directly proportional to the propagation time difference. SOLUTION: Propagation time differenceΔT between propagation time T2 of an a0-mode-Lamb wave pulse and propagation time T1 over the same section under the empty state of a container 4 is obtained. Based on the propagation time differenceΔT, a moment fill level height that is directly proportional to the propagation time difference AT is led for accurately and continuously monitoring the fill level of the container 4. In this case, the container 4 is filled with filler 5, advantageously, liquid, up to height H. On the external wall 1a, at mutual vertical direction intervals L, a Lamb wave oscillator 6 and a Lamb wave receiver 7 are fixedly arranged. Then, the lamb wave oscillator 6 is positioned at the maximum allowable fill height, and the Lamb wave receiver 7 is arranged at the directly upper part of a container bottom part 8. However, an arrangement configuration is reversible. |
