PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To eliminate restriction on the design of a vehicle by introducing a structure such that a sufficient light-quantity is secured by sending the light to a second reflecting surface by a first reflecting surface of an ellipse system superior in the converging characteristic even in case a head lamp having small width to the left and right is required. SOLUTION: A head lamp 1 includes at least one optical system of twice reflecting type, consisting of a first reflecting surface 3 embodies on an elliptical surface system where a light source 2 is arranged at a first focus f31 and a second reflecting surface 4 comprising a paraboloid system, where a focus f4 is arranged near a second focus f32 of the first reflecting surface 3. This twice reflecting optical system is installed, so that the second focus f32 of the first reflecting surface 3 is dislocated in the left-right direction and also an optical axis z4 passing the focus f4 of the second reflecting surface is dislocated in the same direction, thereby the light is sent to the second reflecting surface by the first reflecting surface of elliptical type superior in the converging characteristic even in case a head lamp having small width to the left and right is required, and requirements on the light quantity and the light distributing characteristics are satisfied.
