COLOR IMAGE FORMING METHOD

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a digital color image with good color reproduction by exposing a photosensitive material according to image information by using organic light emitting elements and carrying out development. SOLUTION: A color photosensitive material used comprises photosensitive layers capable of forming separate yellow, magenta and cyan images when imagewise exposed and processed on the substrate. The photosensitive layers are sensitive to radiation in the range of 380-900 nm and different front one another in wavelength corresponding to the maximum spectral sensitivity. The maximum spectral sensitivities of the photosensitive layers lower gradually from the photosensitive layer having the maximum spectral sensitivity at the shortest wavelength to the photosensitive layer having the maximum spectral sensitivity at the longest wavelength. The color photosensitive material is exposed by using three independent dot array-shaped organic light emitting elements each having the peak wavelength of its emission spectrum in the wavelength range corresponding to the spectral sensitivity of each of the photosensitive layers in such a way that the emission intensities of the emission spectra increase gradually from the organic light emitting element which emits light in the shortest wavelength range to the element which emits light in the longest wavelength range.
