PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce occurrence of a mesh pattern from an endoscope pictured photographed by a TV camera in accordance with a period of a core part depending on combination between a fiber scope and a model of the TV camera. SOLUTION: An endoscope picture processing unit 15 is provided with a pre-processing section 44 having a black level suppression means or the like that suppress in advance a black level from being increased due to filtering in an endoscope picture, with a filtering section 45 that applies any filtering of a plurality of filters 45(i) with different frequency characteristics to an output of the pre-processing section 44, a user I/F 47 to indicate any of the filters 45(i) used by the filtering section 45, and a changeover control section 48 that selects any of the filters 45(i) instructed by the user I/F 47.
