PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a dynamo-electric machine cooling gas temperature control device which can improve control characteristics of the temperature of the dynamo-electric machine cooling gas, even if the machine is in an operation state other than a rated load operation state. SOLUTION: There are provided a gas cooler 2 which cools hydrogen gas in a generator 1, a control valve 4 which adjusts the quantity of cooling water 3 in the gas cooler 2, a controller 6a which conducts PID control in accordance with a deviation between the measured value and set value of a hydrogen gas temperature and determines the operation stroke of the control valve 4, a state deciding means 10 which decides the state of a plant, and a changeover means 11 which refers to a data base 12 in which the plant state and the set value of the hydrogen gas temperature are written, and changes the set value of the hydrogen gas temperature.
