PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable an input data to be converted into output data at a high speed by applying the optimum processing to the input data, as required. SOLUTION: This system comprises a dictionary section 107, that stores input data and output data corresponding to the input data, a color conversion processing section 109 that applies a plurality of prescribed conversion processings with respect to the input data, a changeover section 103 that selects whether the input data are sent to the dictionary section 109 or the input data are directly sent to the color conversion processing section 109, an input section 105 that gives a signal denoting the kind of input image to the changeover section 103, and a print engine section 111 that prints out transmitted output data. Through the provision of the changeover section 103, processing with a shorter processing time is selected.
