PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To surely superpose respective kinds of toner and to restrain the lowering of developing margin by arranging respective developing devices so that the developer may be superposed on a photoreceptor in order from the developer whose rise of re-electrified amount by an electrifier is small. SOLUTION: The respective developing devices 31 to 34 are arranged so that the developer may be superposed on the photoreceptor 1 in order from the developer whose rise of the re-electrified amount by the electrifiers 41 to 44 is small. By superposing the developer on the photoreceptor 1 in order from the developer whose rise of the re-electrified amount by the electrifiers 41 to 44 is small, electric repulsion by Coulomb' s force gets small in the case of development with next developer, so that the developer is surely superposed on the developer pattern whose area is very small. When the rise of the potential of a developer layer formed on the photoreceptor 1 first is small, the developing margin in the case of performing development by shifting to a second color can be taken to be wider.
