PURPOSE: An apparatus for writing accounting data in TDX(time division switching) system and method thereof are provided to improve reliability in accounting telephone charges by enabling telephone charges to account by using data stored in other file. CONSTITUTION: An accounting information processing part(120) stores the accounting information in RDKU(135) in form of file by a given byte based on the accounting information generated from an accounting information generating part(11) and date information generated from a date information generating part(125). An accounting information storing means, RDKU(135) stores a particular capacity of accounting information in a date file. A magnetic tape(140) reads out and backs up the accounting information stored in the RDKU(135). A code converting part(150) interprets MMC command for the accounting information for each date inputted from an operator matching part(140) and MMC command for backing up data, and sends the results of interpreting to the accounting information processing part(120).
