PURPOSE: An apparatus and method for mixing lock phase synchronization loop frequencies at a high speed are provided which locks the frequency of a mobile communication terminal to the frequency of a corresponding base station at a high speed in case of hand-off. CONSTITUTION: In an apparatus for mixing lock phase synchronization loop frequencies at a high speed in a mobile communication terminal, the level of a locking current is raised for a predetermined period of time based on the difference between tow different frequencies of two base stations in case of hand-off between the base stations, and the level of the locking current is decreased after the lapse of predetermined period of time, to thereby lock the frequency of the mobile communication terminal to the frequency of a base station to which hand-off is established at a high speed.
