<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To eliminate mismatching between an operation and a video image due to a transmission lag. SOLUTION: An MPEG encoder 14 compresses an output video signal from a camera 10 in compliance with the MPEG system and transmits the compressed video signal with image display time information synchronized with an input video period added thereto. The encoder 14 applies the image display time information also to a controller 32. The controller 32 stores information to be controlled for the camera 10 and a universal head 12 to a memory according to the image display time information from the encoder 14. The encoder 14 gives its output to an MPEG decoder 24 via a modulator 16, a microwave transmitter 18, a microwave receiver 20 and a demodulator 22. The decoder 24 decodes the video signal and applies the decoded video signal to a video monitor 26. The decoder 24 supplies the image display time information to a remote controller 28. The controller 28 usually transmits control information to the controller 32 but when detecting an operation stop, the controller 28 transmits the image display time information from the decoder 24 to the controller 32 and gives a freeze signal to the decoder 24 for a prescribed period. The controller 32 controls the camera 10 and the universal head 12 depending on the information to be controlled corresponding to time in accordance with the time information from the controller 28.</p> |
