PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent such media as instruction manuals from being scattered and lost, by preserving in such regions the media stored in a rack mount apparatus and for memorizing therein various apparatus and maintenance informations as the ones in/from which the media can be stored or taken out while keeping the media intact in their mounting states on the rack-mounted apparatus. SOLUTION: In a storing portion 3 of a rack mount apparatus 1 whose peripheries are covered with metallic or molded resin materials, media 12 stored in the rack mount apparatus 1 and for memorizing therein various apparatus and maintenance informations are preserved in the regions of the storing portion 3 in/from which the media 12 can be stored or taken out while keeping the media 12 intact in their mounting states on the rack-mounted apparatus 1. Such storing portion 3 is so constituted that its width, height, and depth are within the allowable scope of its separative intervals from other rack mount apparatuses 1, its heat dissipation, or its maintenance, and the storing portion 3 is accommodated stereosocopically in a rack 20 comprising storing shelves formed out of angular members having L-shaped sections, etc. Thereby, such a media 12 as instruction manuals having the hard tendencies of their storages can be prevented from being scattered and lost.
