PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce variations in the ruggedness information of a finger by evenly press-contacting the finger with the electrodes of a first electrode group. SOLUTION: A device for inputting ruggedness information of finger is constituted in such a way that a printed circuit board 12 is fixed on a base 11 and an electrode array 15 is formed by arranging a plurality of long linear output electrodes 14 on the circuit board 12 at prescribed intervals in the direction perpendicular to the longitudinal direction of a finger 13. In addition, an input electrode 16 is formed outside the array 15 and a supporting member 17 is erected on the front end of the base 11 which becomes the front end side of the finger 13. Moreover, a pressing member 18 is turnably supported on the top end of the supporting member 17. The bulb section of the finger 13 including the first and second joint sections of the finger 13 is evenly press-contacted with the electrode array 15 and input electrode 16 by pressurizing the turning side end section of the pressing member 18 with the finger of the other hand while the finger 13 is placed on the circuit board 12.
