PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To keep an effective cooling temperature for a long time in a place where outside air passes by, or in the outside bare ground and the like by forming a hollow portion inside a main body having high heat conductivity for placing an object of cold insulation at an upper portion thereof, and providing an insulating member in the hollow portion. SOLUTION: A main body 1 for placing objects of cold insulation, such as deep-frozen fish, meat, or the like, or those requiring refrigeration at an upper portion thereof, is formed with a material, such as aluminum or the like having high heat conductivity. A number of such main bodies 1 are provided in the form of a rectangular timber having a given length. The inner portion of each body 1 is provided with a hollow portion 2 which is to be closed up tight, and in which a single room or a plurality of rooms are defined. A cold insulating member 3 is sealed up and accommodated in the hollow portion 2 of the main body 1. Heat is transferred from the cold insulating member 3 to the main body 1, thereby cooling substantially the entire body to a given temperature.
