PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To miniaturize a fixing roller by positioning the contact part of an electrode brought into contact with a power feeding brush at the inside of the area of a heat generating layer. SOLUTION: The electrode 28 is provided at the left end part of the fixing roller 10 in an axial direction. The electrode 28 is constituted of a cylindrical body whose axial direction right end side is closed by a bottom part 28a and whose axial direction left end side is opened. The outer peripheral part of the cylindrical body of the electrode 28 is fitted to the inside of the heat generating layer 24, and is fixed through an adhesive and also is electrically connected at the left open end part of the fixing roller 10 in the axial direction. The center part of the bottom part 28a constitutes a cylindrical projecting part 28b by projecting on the left open end side of the fixing roller 10 in the axial direction, and a circular contact part Q1 brought into contact with the power feeding brush is constituted on the top end surface of the projecting part 28b at the electrode 28. The electrode 28 is formed into an uneven shape, so that the contact part Q1 with the power feeding brush is positioned at the inside of the area of a heating element 24.
