PURPOSE: A method for removing naphthalene in wastewater using microorganism and acetic acid is provided, to improve removal efficiency of naphthalene in wastewater by using phenol as a derivative and acetic acid as a reaction sustaining agent, thereby removing a large amount of naphthalene in a short time without diluting. CONSTITUTION: The method is as follows: i) adding a phenol culture fluid and activated sludge to a reaction tank and stirring them for adapting microorganism to phenol; ii) flowing wastewater containing acetic acid and naphthalene into the reaction tank and so decomposing naphthalene by the microorganism adapted to phenol; iii) discharging 99% of wastewater removed in naphthalene and adding a new phenol culture fluid 99% to the remaining wastewater 1% for readapting microorganism to phenol; and iv) repeating the step ii) and iii).
