PURPOSE: A method for performing announcement services in terminals is provided to intercept a ring transmission by pressing keys, and to read announcements stored in a memory to transmit the read announcements to a transmitting party terminal, if the ring transmission is generated when users can not receive calls. CONSTITUTION: A controller decides whether a ring transmission signal is received from a key inputting part. If the ring transmission cut-off signal is not received, the controller carries out an access to speech paths between transmitting/incoming subscribers, to be converted into an engaged status. If the ring transmission cut-off signal is received, the controller controls to intercept a ring transmission responding to the received signal. The controller reads an announcement stored in a memory and transfers the read message to a transmitting party terminal.
