PURPOSE: A method for improving shock when converting a belt of a continuously variable transmission for a vehicle is provided to enhance travel experience and traveling performance by using a logic circuit able to gradually compensate a pulley position sensor speed change ratio. CONSTITUTION: A belt(27) is connected between a primary pulley(21) and a secondary pulley(22). For compensating a pulley position sensor speed change ratio by relatively spacing apart a variable pulley(25), the variation of the connection inner diameter of the secondary pulley is performed by the pressurizing force of a torque cam(40) and a spring(41) to correspond to the inner diameter variation of the primary pulley. Thus, continuous tensile force is applied to the belt and the power of an engine is varied continuously. A logic circuit is added to prevent shock occurring during speed change through gradual decrease of the pulley position sensor speed change ratio when converting power transfer from a two-way gear to a belt.
