LINEAR MOTOR

PURPOSE: A linear motor is provided to precisely control the position of a rotor by preventing the vertical force from generating between a magnet and a back iron. CONSTITUTION: A linear motor comprises a fixing plate(3) which is formed at a lower portion thereof with a fixing portion(2). A coil unit(1) is vertically attached to a side of the fixing plate(3). A back iron(5) is provided to surround the fixing plate(3). A plurality of magnets(4) are sequentially arranged in the back iron(5) in such a manner that the back iron(5) is adjacent to the coil unit(1). A position detecting circuit(6) is formed on an upper surface of the fixing portion(2). A position detecting magnet(7) is attached at an underside of the back iron(5). By the position detecting circuit(6) and the position detecting magnet(7), the current is applied only to a predetermined area of the coil unit(1) in which the back iron(5) is installed.
