PURPOSE: A door operation structure of a microwave oven is provided to have the delayed time for opening the door by releasing two ratchets, thereby protecting eyes of a user from the light remaining at a halogen lamp when power supply is interrupted. CONSTITUTION: A door operation structure of a microwave oven includes a cavity wherein an object is heated; a door connected with a main body by a hinge to open and shut the cavity; a first ratch element having a handle lever(10) interlocking with a handle of the door, first ratchets(12a,12b) elastically supported in coupling state and rotated by the handle lever, and lodging parts(15a,15b) installed at the main body to be coupled with or released from the first ratchets by the rotation of the first ratchets, so that the first ratch element couples and releases the door with the main body; and a second ratch element having an operating button(20) installed in front of the door, a second ratch(22) elastically supported in coupling state and rotated by the operating button, and a lodging part(15c) installed at the main body to be coupled with or released from the second ratch, so that the second ratch element couples and releases the door with the main body.
