PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To actualize functions of reducing the capacity needed for a ROM for product, preventing a program for the product from becoming complicated, and updating a program for adjustment independently of the ROM for the product by making it possible to separate the program for the product and the program for adjustment by a system which downloads the program for adjustment selectively from a secondary storage device to a RAM and executes it. SOLUTION: The image forming device is equipped with a CD-ROM 162 stored with the program for adjustment, a ROM stored with a program for normal mode, and a control unit 110 having a main controller which performs normal mode operation according to the program for normal mode when the normal mode operation is selected and performs adjusting operation according to the program for adjustment when adjusting operation is selected to output a test pattern on a form according to the program for adjustment. |
