<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a highly reliable and inexpensive device for detecting partial discharge of an electric apparatus and a detector used for the same. SOLUTION: A signal of a high-frequency component and a signal of an impressed voltage component are extracted from a signal detected by one sensor head 5 for detecting partial discharge provided for a sensor part 2 and transmitted to a determining part 3 by a cable 4 using an optical fiber. By obtaining a synchronization signal from the signal of an impressed voltage component and analyzing the signal of a high-frequency component on the basis of the synchronization signal, the determining part 3 removes the effects of external noise from the signal detected by the sensor head 5 and determines the presence or absence of partial discharge. The sensor part 2 is made compact and lightweight and is improved in safety by using an optical fiber of an insulator for transmitting signals.</p> |
