METHOD AND SYSTEM FOR IMAGE TRANSMISSION

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method and a system for image transmission which can improve transmission efficiency and correct the image easily with high precision in case of a transmission error. SOLUTION: A preprocessing part 15 of a transmission-side device 1 separates an original image into an image of odd lines and an image of even lines, generates a difference image through subtraction between the both, and puts the image of the odd lines and the difference image together, encodes and transmits the put together image and a reception-side device 2 receives and decodes the image and a postprocessing part 20 separates the decoded image into the image of the odd lines and the difference image, generates the image of the even lines by putting both together, and reconstitutes the images of the odd lines and the image of odd lines in the original line order.
