PURPOSE: An apparatus for recording a signal of a digital TV is provided to record only a signal selected by a user out of image information included in a broadcasting signal, thereby preventing a recording of unnecessary information. CONSTITUTION: The apparatus for recording a signal of a digital TV having a demultiplexing portion(101) comprises a MPEG audio/video decoder and OSD(on-screen display) generating portion(102) for decoding and outputting MPEG audio/video from a signal demultiplexed from the demultiplexing portion to generate OSD or a subtitle; a signal storing portion(103) for storing the OSD or the subtitle generated from the MPEG audio/video decoder and OSD generating portion; a subtitle controlling portion(104) for capturing the subtitle stored in the signal storing portion; a signal selecting portion for switching a video data, an OSD data and a subtitle data respectively output from the MPEG audio/video decoder and OSD generating portion, the signal storing portion and the subtitle controlling portion according to a control signal; a controlling portion(106) for outputting a signal for controlling the signal storing portion and the signal selecting portion according to a user record selecting signal; a transfer rate changing portion(107) for changing a transfer rate of the signal output from the signal selecting portion; and an encoding portion(108) for encoding the signal according to a transfer rate changed in the transfer rate changing portion. |
