JUNCTION POINT EXTRACTION METHOD THROUGH OUTER-LINE EXTRACTION AND LINE FITTING IN DIGITAL MAP IMAGES

PURPOSE: An outside point extraction and bifurcation point extraction method in electron map image through line correction is provided to minimize a user's intervention and makes a vector automatically by recognizing a bifurcation point on a cross road and extracting correctly. CONSTITUTION: A cross-road is classified and recognized tracing subjects in an electron map image(24). A candidate bifurcation is extracted getting an average of the cross-road coordinates(25). A boundary point of a branch road to be connected with the cross road is extracted(26). A line is corrected applying a least square fitting error algorithm and using the extracted boundary point(27). A defence point is extracted drawing a circle at the candidate bifurcation point extracted(28). An outlier is controlled to remove an affection of outlier near by cross-road(29). The point that an average point of coordinates to inside point of the fitted line pair is crossed with is extracted as bifurcation point(30).
