PURPOSE: A method and apparatus for supplying a communication power based on a multi-output voltage are provided for overcoming a conventional inefficient and high cost problem which occurs due to a voltage variation by providing a new power supply method based on an output voltage selection. CONSTITUTION: There are provided a switch unit(2), a measurement unit(3), a controller(4) and a memory unit(5). When a ring signal is generated by a subscriber, a subscriber picks up a telephone receiver, and a DC loop is automatically formed for thereby supplying a communication current. At this time, the supply of the communication current starts -48Vdc which is a default value. The measurement unit(3) measures the communication current and outputs a result of the measurement to the controller(4). The controller(4) compares the measurement value and a previously inputted data and selects a proper value among the N-number of outputs.
