PURPOSE: A method for manufacturing a shaft for a pump is provided to increase a surface roughness while decreasing a coefficient of friction for reducing a frictional resistance against a bearing, thereby decreasing the abrasion degree of the bearing and expanding the lifespan of the bearing. CONSTITUTION: A method for manufacturing a shaft for a pump includes the steps of preparing a raw material made of SUS630(S10), machining the raw material in the shape of shaft(S20), carrying out thermal processing on a surface of the machined raw material to have a predetermined stiffness or more(S30), carrying out sand blast processing on the thermally processed surface(S40), polishing the sand blast processed surface(S50), and cleaning the surface(S60).
