PURPOSE: An entire structure of a bill binding machine is simplified and bill push attributes are improved, therefore the bill binding machine executes the credible bill binding and further, easily sets bill binding position. CONSTITUTION: A bill binding machine comprises a ribbon pass block(21), front/rear ribbon pass covers(22,23), an X bar interlocking device and a push-bar(25) actuating device. The ribbon pass block(21) supports firmly a heater assembly(3). The both limits of the ribbon pass block(21) joins the front/rear ribbon pass covers(22,23). The front/rear ribbon pass covers(22,23) join top and bottom fixed rods(27) at both limits of the ribbon pass block(21). The X bar interlocking device is mounted at a side surface of the front/rear ribbon pass covers(22,23). And the X bar interlocking device opens and returns the front/rear ribbon pass covers(22,23) from the ribbon pass block(21) with X bar. The push-bar(25) operating device is mounted at the top/bottom of a bending plate(17) and pushes a bundle of bills through line contact or plane contact.
