CATCHING DETECTOR AND OPENING/CLOSING APPARATUS

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a catching detector having high detection accuracy and an opening/closing apparatus. SOLUTION: A flexible stripe piezoelectric sensor 6 is supported by an window frame 4 at a supporting part 10 in the widthwise direction thereof. When the piezoelectric sensor 6 touches an object M, an abutting part 11 is deformed flexibly and since a widthwise flexure is imparted in addition to a longitudinal flexure, a large deformation is produced and the output signal from the piezoelectric sensor 6 is increased. Since the signal component of catching can be discriminated easily from the signal component of external vibration or electric noise, detection accuracy can be enhanced.
