摘要 <p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To rapidly measure the quality of tea leaves by simultaneously measuring the color of the tea leaves from visible light and the constituent of the tea leaves from near-infrared rays. SOLUTION: One portion of tea leaves accepted from a producer is sampled and is guided to a measurement part 4, and light from a light source 8 is applied to the tea leaves through an optical fiber 12. Reflection light from the tea leaves enters an integrating sphere 10 repeats diffusion and reflection on the inner wall, and diffusion density in the integrating sphere 10 is made uniform for taking out of measurement windows 21 and 22. Visible light taken out of the measurement window 21 is detected through a spectral means 26, its spectral output V1 is added to a color calculation means 28, and color that the tea leaves have is calculated. In this case, the output V1 is a spectrum, namely intensity distribution for the wavelength of light. Near- infrared rays being taken out of the measurement window 22 are detected via a spectral means 32, and the constituents of the tea leaves are calculated from the spectrum output V2 of the tea leaves. Then, constituents for each tea leave and the characteristic value of color obtained from the output V1 and V2 are subjected to data processing, and each tea leave is graded and evaluated.</p>
