PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve drying efficiency of cereals by providing an opening/closing sensing means to be activated when opening of a cover of a roof is sensed, and a means for irradiating dropping or storage cereals with a highly transmissive electromagnetic wave when a uniformly dropping means for dropping cereals into a reservoir is not activated. SOLUTION: Cereals lifted by a cereal elevator are conveyed by an upper conveying means, and uniformly dropped in a reservoir 6 by a uniformly dropping means 12. The cereals the dried by a hot air in a drying portion 8, then gathered in a lower portion of a cereal collector 10, transferred to a lower portion of the elevator by a lower conveying means, again repeated drying by lifting, circulating. A hot air generation mechanism having a combustor for drying the cereals by the hot air and an exhauster is provided in the portion 8. A cover 14 is provided on a roof 4 of a circulation cereal dryer 2, and an opening/closing sensing means 16 for sensing the cover 4 to be activated when the cover is opened is provided. An electromagnetic wave irradiating means 18 for irradiating the cereals dropped when the means 16 is not activated and the cereals in the reservoir 6 with an electromagnetic wave is provided at a site right under the means 12. The cover 14 is mounted at an inspection opening 20 of the roof 4 and opened and closed.
