PURPOSE: An apparatus is provided to shield electromagnetic wave in a simple and reliable manner by installing antennas to detect an electromagnetic wave radiated from the front of a CRT and supply an inversion-amplified signal about the electromagnetic wave. CONSTITUTION: The first antenna(2) is installed at upper and lower sides or right and left sides of a CRT(1) to detect an electromagnetic wave radiated from the CRT(1). A buffer circuit(3) reproduces an electromagnetic signal detected from the first antenna(2). An inversion amplifier(4) inversion-amplifies the electromagnetic signal reproduced from the buffer circuit(3). The second antenna is installed in the CRT(1) at one side for receiving an electromagnetic wave damping signal corresponding to the inversion-amplified signal from the inversion amplifier(4) to shield the electromagnetic wave radiated from the front of the CRT(1).
