PURPOSE: A method for manufacturing a multi-plate mesh filter is provided to continuously maintain the performance of filtration regardless with the passing pressure of a filtering liquid. CONSTITUTION: For manufacturing a multi-plate mesh filter, a mesh plate(17) having different sizes of mesh is aligned. The aligned mesh plates are seated so that they are capable to contact with a press. The press compresses the mesh plates up to a pressure of 2.5 to 5.5 ton for a desired time. During the compression of the press, a specific amount of electric power is applied to the press so that the surface of the mesh plate is reached a fusing point. The press is a roller. The mesh plates are comprised of at least one support mesh plate, and at least one filter mesh plate, which are alternately arranged. An apparatus for manufacturing the multi-plate mesh filter consists of a rectangular main support plate(10), a press support plate(12), a press plate(14), and the mesh plates.
