摘要 <p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To perform a retract operation in binary operation and also to retract the relief axis of a tool, etc., to a set position on an absolute coordinate system. SOLUTION: This numerical controller rotates a work 2 by a rotating shaft 1 and performs cam working by reciprocating an X shaft to which a tool 3 is attached. In the case of an emergency stop, the numerical controller is made to stop at the position A. At this position, a retract quantity 4 being a distance between the tool 3 and a position where the tool 3 interferes with neither the work 2 nor an obstacle 5 is set. When an emergency stop signal is inputted because of abnormality occurrence, etc., during binary operation, the moving quantity of each cycle corresponding to the set retract quantity 4 is superimposed on the moving quantity of each cycle of the binary operation to drive the X shift. When the position A comes in the binary operation, the binary operation is stopped. The tool 3 is held at the position where the tool 3 escapes from the position A as much as the set retract quantity. Retract can be performed at a determined position, and the tool 3 can be saved at the position where the tool 3 interferes with neither the work 2 nor the obstacle.</p>
