POWER CABLE CONNECTION METHOD

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To connect power cables such as CV cables with different sizes to each other easily by using a reinforcing insulator by a method wherein connection components are prepared so as to correspond to the sizes of the cables to be connected. SOLUTION: In order to connect two cables 1 and la with different outer diameters and conductor sizes to each other with a reinforcing insulator 11, through-holes 11A and 11B which have different diameters so as to correspond to the cable outer diameters and are connected to each other at the center of the insulator 11 to form one continuous through-hole are formed in the reinforcing insulator 11. Holes 31 and 32 with different inner diameters are formed in a high voltage shielding electrode 30 which is arranged in a conductor connection part. A conductor contactor 35 is attached to the high voltage shielding part 30 with a screw part. The conductor connectors 20 and 25 attached to two cable conductors 2 and 2a with different sizes are inserted into the conductor contactor 35 so as to make the connectors 20 and 25 abut upon each other, so that a prefabricated connection part is formed.
