PURPOSE: A liquid crystal display is provided to reduce a resistance of a signal line by forming an auxiliar signal line with a material for forming a scan line on the signal line and connecting the auxiliar signal line to the signal line. CONSTITUTION: A signal line(21L) and a drain electrode(21D) are formed on an insulation substrate, and an active layer(23) is formed so as to be overlapped with the signal line(21L) and a part of the drain electrode(21D). The first insulation film is formed so as to cover the active layer(23), the signal line(21L), and the drain electrode(21D). A plurality of first contact holes(Hs,Hd) are formed in the first insulation film so as to expose a part of the signal line. A scan line(25L) is formed on the first insulation film so as to be intersected with the signal line. A gate electrode(25G) is extended from the scan line and is formed so as to be overlapped with the active layer. An auxiliar signal line(25A) is connected to the signal line exposed on the first insulation film via the first holes and is formed along the signal line. The auxiliar signal line(25A) is formed so as to be isolated from the drain electrode. The second insulation film covers the exposed scan line and the gate line. A pixel electrode(27) is connected with the exposed drain electrode via the second contact hole and is formed on the second insulation film.
