PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a technology that takes impedance matching with an optical modulator while reducing current consumption. SOLUTION: The optical transmitter is provided with a 1st impedance matching circuit 101 that adjusts an output impedance of the optical transmitter for a period when a 2nd transistor(TR) 15 is nonconductive to be matched with an input impedance of an optical modulator 44 and with a 2nd impedance matching circuit 102 that adjusts the output impedance of the optical transmitter for a period when the 2nd TR 15 is conductive to be matched with the input impedance of the optical modulator 44. The impedance matching of the optical transmitter with the optical modulator 44 can be attained in spite of reducing current consumption by selecting the resistance of load resistors higher. |
