PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent the occurrence of image flowing even for an image having a flowability after transfer such as liquid toner by preventing the irregular of the image regardless of a speed difference between a medium to be transferred and an image carrier by providing a pressing means to press the medium to be transferred to the image carrier at a poststage from a transfer position. SOLUTION: A transfer device 10 is provided with the image carrier 11 at which the image 14 is formed of toner by a developing unit, a scorotron 12 arranged in the periphery of the image carrier 11 and transferring the image by a non-contact method and a nip roll 13 arranged in the periphery of the image carrier 11 and making the speed of the medium to be transferred 15 and that of the image carrier 11 same by pressure (nipping) at the poststage from the transfer position by the scorotron 12. Since there is a possibility to cause the paint-out of the image when the nip pressure of the nip roll 13 is high, it is desirable that the speed of the medium to be transferred 15 and that of the image carrier 11 are made same and nipping is executed by minimum pressure by which a stage irregularity is not caused.
