PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enhance assembling performance of a transparent plate onto a door plate by disposing the transparent plate on the rear side of the door plate having a large number of small holes in the center oppositely to the region where the small holes are made and holding the transparent plate fixedly by a holder engaging the door plate through a supporting member provided on the circumferential fringe of the transparent plate. SOLUTION: The metallic door plate 21 in the door of a microwave oven is provided, in the central part thereof, with a large number of small holes for observing the inside of a heating chamber and an inner transparent plate 23 made of heat resistant glass is applied on the heating chamber side facing the region where the small holes 22 are made. When the transparent plate 23 is held fixedly on the door plate 21, a supporting member 24 of synthetic resin or rubber serving as a shock absorber is applied to the circumferential fringe part of the transparent plate 23 over the entire circumference thereof or at an appropriate interval and the transparent plate 23 is secured to the door plate 21 by means of a holder 25 engaging the door plate 21 through the supporting member 24. The holder 25 comprises a stripe sheet metal or a metal rod bent to clamp the door plate 21 and the supporting member 24 at the opposite end parts thereof.
