PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a high-definition back substrate with ribs aligned with an electrode pattern without executing work for aligning the ribs with the electrode pattern previously formed on a glass substrate in forming the ribs. SOLUTION: (1) By using a die 21 that is equipped with projecting parts 26 shaped to ribs and recesses 27 formed between the projecting parts 26 for forming pixel parts, at least a discharge-space forming material and an electrode forming material are embedded therein, to transfer onto a glass substrate 11. (2) A rib material 24 is embedded between transferred materials and then the discharge-space forming material is removed, to form ribs 14 aligned with an electrode pattern on the glass substrate.
