PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To simplify a refrigerant circuit by constituting a second branch unit so that a refrigerant flowing to an indoor unit tending to cool and a refrigerant flowing from an indoor unit operating to heat flow through independent channels, and omitting a heat exchanger provided at each branch of the second unit. SOLUTION: The air conditioner comprises a first refrigerant channel branched from second connecting piping 7 side into a plurality, and connected to a first flow controller 9 through first check valves 50b to 50d to allow a refrigerant to flow from the piping 7 to the controller 9 side by a first check valve; and a second refrigerant channel branched from the piping 7 into a plurality, and connected to the controller 9 through a second check valve to allow the refrigerant from the controller 9 side only to the piping 7 side by a second check valve.
