PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a method for suppressing dioxins in exhaust gas from a refuse incinerator. SOLUTION: The refuse incinerator comprises a totally continuous firing boiler plant wherein dioxins in exhaust gas is suppressed by regulating any one or both of the heat exchanging rate in a boiler 2 and an exhaust gas cooler 6 based on any one or both of the number of days elapsed after setting up a furnace and the exhaust gas temperature in the boiler 2.
