PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To correspond to a communication procedure by arbitrary recommendation by outputting an identification signal showing a recommendation type to a host on the basis of detected results of a plurality of frequency components parallelly detected from a procedure signal received from a call receiving side, while conforming to prescribed recommendation and switching and controlling an operation mode according to an instruction of the host. SOLUTION: A recommendation type with which a call receiving terminal performs communication can be identified by detecting a carrier frequency component of a procedure signal corresponding to an optional recommendation type. For this reason, when a communication terminal device 100 can correspond to the recommendation type with which the call receiving terminal performs communication, communication can be continued with the communication procedure of the recommendation type. Specifically, communication can be continued with the call receiving terminal according to a communication procedure, etc., on the basis of Recommendation V.34. Thus, in the case the procedure signal transmitted by the device 100 is different from the procedure signal transmitted by the call receiving terminal, loop state of an operation of the device 100 is prevented.
