The catheter or urinary probe case is made from a flexible and transparent plastic and has a precut (10) to facilitate the removal of the case end (3) when the catheter is to be entered. Two manipulating elements (5,6) are located along the length of the case and these are used to slide the catheter from it's case and into use with minimum contamination. The outer manipulating element includes means of lubricating the catheter within the case
