PURPOSE: A cathode structure body for a cathode ray tube is provided to reduce a production cost by simplifying an assembling of the cathode structure, to embody a fast cathode and to lengthen a use life of the cathode ray tube by quickening an electron emitting speed. CONSTITUTION: A disc(8) of a thin thickness(0.150-0.170mm) spreading an electron emitting material layer(5) is assembled on a sleeve(9). A fast cathode is embodied by quickening an electron emitting speed as 2.0sec. To minimize a conductive loss of a heat to a cathode supporting body, the sleeve(9) comprises a thickness of 16-20micrometers, a length over 6.0mm and a full diameter of 1.50-1.60mm. A length of a holder(10) is shortened under 3.0mm and a thickness of the holder(10) is thickened over 2.5times than the thickness of the sleeve. The holder(10) is integrated by a Ni-Cr material to reduce heat loss.
