COOLING APPARATUS FOR A LINEAR MOTOR

PURPOSE: A cooling apparatus for a linear motor is provided to effectively cool a coil unit and a permanent magnet by supplying cooling air towards a void formed between the coil unit and the permanent magnet. CONSTITUTION: A cooling apparatus for a linear motor comprises an air supplying pipe(2) formed with a plurality of air supplying holes(2). The air supplying pipe(2) is attached to a back iron(50) of a stator(52) on which a permanent magnet(51) or a coil unit(53) is installed. A blower(2) is provided to blow the air through the air supplying holes(2). A plurality of perforation holes(3) are provided so as to allow the air to flow into a center of a void(C) formed between a rotor(55) and the stator(52). The perforation holes(3) pass through the back iron(50) and are formed in the transverse direction with respect to the air supplying holes(2).
