PURPOSE: A method for monitoring voice mail in an internet communication terminal device is provided to monitor the received voice mail and inform an absent user of the received mail, so as to conveniently supply the received mail to the user. CONSTITUTION: A user sets up a voice mail automatic receiving mode in a system(200). An internet communication terminal device determines whether the mail is received. If so, the internet communication terminal device carries out a process of H.323 procedure relating to the voice mail, and decides whether the mail is completely received(215). If so, a voice mail state monitor stores information on a voice mail status(220). A transceiver information processor retrieves and stores an information on the received voice mail and the transmitter. A voice mail recorder and replayer stores information. A mail receiving notifier informs a user of the received voice mail.
