PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable both roll recording and history recording of waveform to be compatible, by performing the history recording parallet with the roll recording of waveform. SOLUTION: An input waveform is inputted to an A/D converter 1, and the output is connected to a control circuit 2 to a storing means 50. The output of a control circuit 2 is connected to a display means 7 and a trigger address detection circuit 10. The output of the circuit 10 is connected to a start address computation circuit 11, and the output of the circuit 11 is connected to a control circuit 2. A sampling signal 100 is connected to a clock input terminal and a trigger signal 101 is connected to a trigger input terminal of the control circuit 2. A display means 7 performs roll display as shown by 'RDSI' based on roll display data transmitted from the circuit 2, and performs history display as shown by 'HDSI' based on history display transmitted from the circuit 2.
